Express Yourself with a Scary Movie

Granted, I saw this movie when I was younger, so that is probably what freaked me out. Well, that and the “based on a true story” stuff.

Horror movies in general do not freak me out. Most make me laugh.

Nothing worse than the “It happened/could happen” horror movies.

    1. True. “Could happen” horror… isn’t that also true of all sci-fi?
I’d like to think Predator and I could be bros though. LOL.
      Thanks for stopping in.

Thought I’d better click the box to hopefully prove I’m not some sort of sneaky, ever so bad, robot. However, I might be an android 🙂

Oh yes, greetings. Horror movies can indeed be a right good laugh. Gotta’ agree with that. Or the predictable ones where a bunch of teenagers get lost in the forest, their car breaks down and they get killed by the creepy dude in the shack they just happen to move into.

All the best and thank you for your comment on my shy, humble blog.

    Gary 🙂

    1. Winona Ryder as Annalee Call was a delicious performance, so we like and accept androids around here. Not making spam is in the programming! Seriously, even the canned meat stuff… nope, can’t make it. Ha ha ha.

Predictable… the movie Dark Water comes to mind. It would be a great horror movie– IF it were the first one you saw. If, however, you were once at the point where Blockbuster Video had run out of horror films you hadn’t rented yet…. well, then you will see every twist and turn, and have the whole movie figured out by the end of the first act.

The only movie with the lost teens in a forest shack I’ve seen that actually went another way was The Cabin in the Woods. You really have to hang in there for the twist though. Really. Hang in. The popcorn bucket will be empty by the time you know why people like this movie.

      🙂

  1. I’d like to lie, here, and say that I TOTALLY laugh at horror movies, too. HA! Silly horror movies!

Except that’s a total bald-faced lie. I’m a WIMP. I’m the person who watches scary stuff through gaps between my fingers. I’m the person who then has to sleep with the lights on all night. Sigh. There, I admitted it. Therefore, this part of the bloghop would be absurd, because I’ve have to list like a thousand movies 🙂

    1. Here’s the upside– they scare you. Probably because you aren’t sitting there thinking, “Is that all? Please. I dealt with worse before I even hit puberty!” Which means that, maybe, you had a decent life. (I’m basing this on the fact that, of the people I know well who are scared of horror movies, only one had a serious childhood trauma.)

  2. I’ve never seen that one! I’m not sure I’ve even heard of it. Off to look it up now.

    1. It’s pretty good.
For some reason, I found the entire film on YouTube. (I was just looking for a clip.)
      Intruders (1992) on IMDB
