September 2014 goals and reviews

goals image
Regular readers of these goal posts know that my last two weeks of July were sucked up with an unexpected life detour. Well, unfortunately, much the same can be said for a majority of August.

I’m adding “survival” to my big main goals. I’m still here now, though the same couldn’t be said for every minute of August 2014. I managed to fight my way back. Some were not so fortunate this month. Please stop by on Sept 8, when bloggers from across the web will remember the talented Tina Downey. #lifeisgood

  1. You nailed it. Stop with the excuses and get on to doing what’s important to do.

Glad you’re out of the woods and ready to roll. I understand how life sometime throws you a curve ball, but learning to duck helps. 🙂

Thanks for joining @WeWrite4U_Lit. I so want this to be a successful effort.

    1. LOL. Yeah, I need to get better at ducking.

  2. When life gives you tough stuff, you just got to deal with it. You seem to be doing well on your goals, despite all this craziness. Keep up the good work.

    1. Yeah, pretty much. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Sometimes life interrupts our writing, sometimes writing interrupts our life. Everything is best in balance. I’ll give you the advice a ballet instructor once told our class…”Don’t forget to breathe.”

Those are some great goals you have on your list. I will try to remember #followfriday this week to add your Twitter to my list.

    1. LOL. Yes, that was exactly my problem- breathing was a forgotten to do!
      Thanks for stopping by.

  4. You “Survive!” goal definitely resonates :). Sometimes I have to duck my head and just keep plodding forward–reminding myself that things will get better. This has been a tough summer for me, too, and I admire that you’re keeping your forward momentum in the midst of life!

Love that t-shirt, BTW. Gotta get me one!

Surviving is easier for some than for others, it seems. But having goals helps those of us who aren’t at 100%.
That shirt really is great. We both need one!

  5. You’ve broken your goals down so well. I’m so far behind in everything, I’m not even sure I remember what my goals were.

    1. Easier to write them than to do them, I’m afraid. But one step at a time, right?

I pretty much strive for survival (here’s hoping to another 41 yrs for me) and anything on top of that is just a bonus.

Oh yeah, some months are just rough. I mean, I didn’t even have time to update on my goals for two months. Let alone actually achieving any of them. 😛
