Happy New Year 2015 with three Fortunes for Writers

Fortunes for writers

All three of these fortunes can be applies to writers. The books that make it are the ones that dare to be different in some way, even though they’re the same basic “person versus” initial concept as every other story every told. It’s the DIFFERENT that matters. The fire of enthusiasm is the only way to get strangers to talk about your book. If the author is excited, it will be easier for the audience to be as well. And no matter how much time is spent writing, there has to be quality at some point. There has to be a willingness to edit, to clean up prose, and to cut the unnecessary darlings. Passion has to be put in, otherwise the writing will be flat.

I hope you have a great New Year!

Great tips! I think we have to have that fire both before we’re published and after…if we don’t, it shows.
