#NaNoProMo National Novel Promotion Month took place in May. I missed it. Better late than never!
“Use a Professional Editor”
I did this. http://redlineediting.com
I feel like I learned a lot from it. For example, I learned that I didn’t use nearly enough commas. I asked a lot of questions, not because I doubted the editing, but because there were things I never learned and wanted to understand so as to not make the same mistake again.
There was plenty of communication. (I might have been a pain in the rear…) I have a scene in Fractions of Existence where Xavier has just taken a shower and is ruminating about an earlier encounter. The scene originally included a description of a large aquarium under his bathroom and these floating planks instead of a floor, which would be difficult for a normal person to use. And there was an interaction with a fish. The purpose was to give the audience another big clue that he isn’t ordinary in Chapter One. After several days and dozens of versions of the same scene, I ended up cutting it. There’s now a brief mention of a fountain in Chapter Three instead.
Since there was nothing new for me to learn or do today, I’m going off topic now:
I had a sale last week to correspond with Amazon Prime day. It went okay, but could have gone better. Nice to see a small spike though.
