This month’s IWSG prompt:
What publishing path are you considering/did you take, and why?
Three roads branch in a writer’s elections,
It’s inadvisable to travel them all
And being an author, long I sat with my reflections
And explored traditional, the first direction
To where it bent in the query sprawl;
Then took the indie, as fair as small press,
But having the faster printing timetable,
Plus more control and ways to express;
Though other Urban Fantasy I would guess
Had found all paths just as stable,
And all three will always equally lay
No Speculative Fiction has a sure-fire choice
Oh, I keep the traditional and small press in mind for another day!
Yet knowing how my choices tend to replay,
I doubt I would prefer another voice.
I shall be blogging this ’till I die
Then look in Google archives and search engines impending:
Three roads branch for all writers, and I—
I took the indie one to simplify,
And that has made all the difference.
